Friends is a registered charity managed by a group of volunteers within the school community. We aim to support our school and enrich the pupils learning environment by organising fundraising events, activities for our children, and participating within larger community events throughout the school year. The funds we raise go towards school equipment, development, transport and resources which would not otherwise be available.

Our fundraising is organised by the Friends, with a lot of greatly appreciated help from parent / family volunteers.

Volunteer your time

You can help us by volunteering an hour of your time throughout the year to sell raffle tickets, volunteer at fetes (set up or during), face painting, teas and coffees, baking etc… We don’t expect a regular commitment from you, just let us know if and when you can help!

Attendance

Join us for our activities! Pop along and support our events, with your friends and families if possible, every little helps the Friends.

We always welcome new suggestions for fundraising and you are welcome at the Friends meetings – it’s a great way to keep in touch!

Pre – Loved Uniform

The Friends collect good condition, pre-loved uniform you no longer need and sell it at school for a small donation. It’s a great fundraiser and is very handy if you need an extra something!

Easy Fundraising

Register with easyfundraising to raise money for Friends when you shop online – Believe us, pennies really do make pounds!

It’s really easy and quick:

1. Go to easyfundraising.org.uk
2. Enter ‘Friends of Haselbury Plucknett’ in the blue ‘Support your cause’ box
3. Complete the registration process (they only need your name and email address, and for you to create a password) . Click hereto go straight to the registration page
4. Then search for the retailer of your choice

Here’s how it works:

When you link through to an online retailer from the easyfundraising site, the retailer donates a percentage of your spend to the Friends.

It only works when you link to a retailer’s site via easyfundraising so visit their site first!

All of the normal high street stores participate so happy shopping!

Other Ways We Raise Funds

In spring we have an Easter egg hunt. We participate in the village May Fair and hold pub quizzes. In the autumn we have a pumpkin party and at Christmas we sell Christmas cards designed by our pupils, and of course hold a raffle!
