Welcome to Catkins’ class page!
In Catkins class we are a kind, caring and creative class who enjoy learning in many different ways.
We always try our best and like to challenge ourselves in everything that we do.
A few things that we are working on at school are…
- Learning new letters, sounds
and spellings in our phonics lessons
- Enjoying new and exciting books in our reading lessons
- Mastering number in our Maths lessons, and building secure foundations in number, shape and measure.
- Using quality texts to learn new writing skills
- Increasing confidence, enthusiasm and individual creativity in art and DT lessons.
- Having fun looking at and learning about our world, how to look after our environment and care for each other.
Our class routines are…
- PE days are Wednesday and Thursday each week.
- A Homework task for KS1 is given out on Mondays for return on Fridays.
- Please listen to your child read at least 4 times a week.
Children should please bring to school:
Wellies (RECEPTION CHILDREN ONLY)
A drink bottle containing water
A book bag and their lunchbox
(if they do not have a hot meal)

Thursday- Mrs Jukes, supported by Mrs Wade, Miss Howey and Mrs Crawford.
Friday- Mrs Jukes, supported by Mrs Wade, Miss Howey and Mrs Crawford.
